Safety

Safety in the workplace consists of the whole series of prevention and protection measures (technical, organizational and procedural), to be taken by the employer, his associates (managers and persons in charge) and the workers themselves.

The health protection measures and safety of workers are intended to improve working conditions, reduce the possibility of injury to employees, other workers, to external partners (subcontractors) and to those who are, even occasionally, within the Company. Measures of hygiene and health protection should be taken to protect the worker, possible health damage as work accidents and occupational diseases, as well as the general population and the environment.

In Italy, the health and safety at work is regulated by Legislative Decree no. 81/2008 (known as single Text on safety at work) and incorporates the European Directives in the field of protecting the safety and health of workers, coordinating them in a single piece of legislation, which provides for specific sanctions against the defaulters.

S.M.S. is aware of how complex and onerous is for companies to follow the dictates of the rule in particular as regards the training of staff and the management of safety in the workplace.

With this awareness the S.M.S. intended to make good use of decades of experience in the field of safety on construction sites in order to include services aimed at safety in the context of the Global Service and Facility Management, in particular:

• Training and specific training of the staff in security;
• Supervision and management of safety in the workplace in particular on building sites;
• Monitoring the application of rules and safety policies in the workplace.

Staff engaged in training, supervision and control has many years of experience in the specific field and is provided by certificates and approvals ensuring a top-level band in terms of professionality and knowledge.

The amplitude of the field is so wide that the S.M.S. is available to adjust its services according to the potential customer’s needs and to make its contribution in assessing any critical issues.
